This course is taught in a hybrid Spanish/English environment. Students should be at Upper Intermediate Level (B2) to be successful. Home language support for speakers of languages other than Spanish is limited.
En este curso de Capacitación para Ayudante de Salud en el Hogar, los estudiantes aprenderán cómo ayudar a las personas que necesitan cuidado adicional en casa. Este curso enseña habilidades importantes como ayudar con tareas diarias como bañarse, vestirse, comer y moverse. Los estudiantes también aprenderán cómo mantener seguros a los pacientes, asegurarse de que sigan rutinas saludables y brindarles apoyo emocional para que se sientan mejor.

In this Home Health Aide Training class, students will learn how to help people who need extra care at home. This course teaches important skills like how to assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and moving around. Students will also learn how to keep patients safe, make sure they follow healthy routines, and provide emotional support to make them feel better.
Students will be taught the right way to communicate with patients, how to stop the spread of germs, and how to treat patients with respect. By the end of the course, students will have the basic skills to become a home health aide, helping people live more comfortably and safely at home. This class will help prepare students for a career in healthcare and the chance to make a real difference in someone's life.
