This program and the included RTI courseware are designed to prepare learners for successful completion of the Certified Fundamental Pastry Cook (CFPC) certification through the American Culinary Federation (ACF), while developing foundational baking, pastry, food safety, nutrition, and foodservice skills. Through 150 hours of self-paced online culinary training, you will build practical knowledge in pastry production, sanitation practices, nutrition principles, and hospitality operations.
This baking course incorporates instructional videos, hands-on activities, assessments, and portfolio-building projects that help prepare you for entry-level roles in bakeries, restaurants, catering operations, and other foodservice environments. It includes ACF-aligned Related Technical Instruction (RTI) coursework associated with the American Culinary Federation's Certified Fundamental Pastry Cook (CFPC) certification pathway, including training in food safety and sanitation, nutrition, and introduction to foodservice.
Completion of this baking and pastry course program satisfies the RTI component of the pathway; however, it does not include the ACF written examination, practical examination, employment requirements, or any additional certification requirements established by the ACF.
If you wish to pursue the CFPC credential, you must independently meet all certification eligibility requirements. While the coursework aligns with standards that may be used within apprenticeship and workforce development pathways, this course is not an apprenticeship program and does not include employer sponsorship, workplace training, on-the-job learning, or apprenticeship oversight.
