Driver's Education Programs through FCPS ACE

When it's time for your teen to learn safe driving, trust FCPS Adult and Community Education for comprehensive Driver's Education programs. Classes and instruction are offered at convienent locations, usually right at your student's FCPS high school. Taught by certified instructors, FCPS ACE offers affordable and convenient courses that cover all the required classes for teen licensure. Spaces are limited and fill up quickly, so don't delay! Behind the Wheel Registration

Lessons cover basic vehicle control skills and driving in residential, rural, city and freeway settings. This course includes administration of the DMV approved road test. Students must have a District-8 classroom course completion card or be able to present a concurrent enrollment form prior to the first behind the wheel class. Courses meet for seven school days and depart from most high schools.

  1. Valid Virginia Learner's permit;
  2. District-8 classroom course completion card or concurrent enrollment form;
  3. Online confirmation receipt or the walk-in registration form, signed by a parent/guardian;

DMV Learner's Permit Testing

MUST READ BEFORE REGISTERING! This test is for FCPS students only and allows them to take the Virginia DMV Learner’s Permit Test.

Important Details:

  • Students must be at least 15 years and 6 months old on the day of the test.
  • Registration is required on both this site and the DMV’s website to participate.
  • Click on the test you wish to take for links and the full description, including what to bring on test day.

Partners For Safe Teen Driving

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING This presentation is an additional offering for students who were unable to attend the session at their school.

Important Details:

  • Fee: $45 registration fee required for all attendees
  • Format: This presentation is in-person
  • Duration: 1 session, 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
  • Requirement: This is the state-mandated Parent-Teen Traffic Safety Presentation, required as part of the juvenile licensing process
  • Attendance: Both the student and a parent/guardian must attend
  • Upon completion: a Certificate of Completion (or Affirmation of Attendance) will be provided, either in person or via email.

DMV Learner's Permit Test Prep - Online Only
