Electricians are skilled professionals who install and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with state and local codes. This course is the third in a comprehensive four-level apprenticeship program aligned with DOLI standards and nationally accredited by NCCER. Level Three focuses on advanced topics including load calculations, conductor properties, lighting systems, hazardous locations, overcurrent protection, distribution equipment, transformers, commercial electrical services, motor calculations, voice/data/video systems, and motor controls.
Classes meet twice a week, once in person and once virtually, for the stated hours. Final grades are reported electronically to sponsor employers with a FERPA form on file with ACE. Registration closes at 12:00 PM on the Friday before class begins. A laptop or tablet is required to access digital class materials.
Required textbook: Students must purchase digital or print textbook with NCCERConnect code from the NCCER bookstore and have a copy of the NEC 2023. Book Edition will be sent prior to class.
